"This year, Sara, Jana & myself took it upon ourselves to spread the word of this joyous occasion all throughout our great city. To our knowledge, this was the first time NPD has been acknowledged in Winnipeg. We canvassed the city (sans pants, of course) in an attempt to promote NPD, and hopefully get some people to drop trou with us. We never expected it to be such a success. Armed with fliers (compliments of http://www.nopantsday.com), we spread the word to passerby's in cars, pedestrians on the street, people in their backyards, hell we even went into people's homes! (okay, i admit, that was our friends' :P) Anyhow, the people of Winnipeg truly appreciate the fact that the only thing funnier than pants, is a lack thereof.
Ultimately, we took NPD into the clubs, and this is where it got the respect it truly deserves. Trou was dropping all around! We have 32 documented pant drops (more than that considering the ones who didn't want their picture taken), not to mention the many laughs & smiles generated due to the funny nature of NPD. We even had numerous pant-droppers coming back for seconds!"
